    To create an account with BlueCouch click the “Get your quote” button in the upper right-hand corner of the website. From there you can proceed with getting a quote and creating your account.

  • How do I pay for my insurance?

    You have the flexibility to pay for your insurance policy using various methods, such as credit cards or available financing options.

  • What payment methods are accepted?

    We accept all major cards including Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover.

  • How do I change the information on my account?

    Information can be easily changed in the “My Account” section of the website on your mobile device or laptop.

  • Do you offer a mobile app for insurance services?

  • I’m moving, how do I change my address?

    Moving is stressful enough as is, so we at BlueCouch try to make it as simple as possible for you. All you have to do is just log into your account, click on your profile and make the necessary changes.

  • What do I need to submit a claim?

    We take customer service seriously! Home incidents are stressful and BlueCouch wants to make things as easy as possible. You can submit your claim in minutes through our web portal or by calling one of our agents & we’ll work to settle it as soon as possible.

  • How are claims calculated?

    Our homeowners’ policies offer a ‘replacement cost’ for any destroyed, damaged, or stolen items. This means we’ll calculate the value of your item based on like, kind, and quality. If the item is no longer being sold, we will look for a similar one, and use that price for reference.

  • Can a claim be filed at any time?

    Yes they can, claims can be filed 24/7, 365.

  • How do I lower the cost of my policy?

    Your policy price (the ‘premium’) is mostly affected by how much coverage your policy has. Coverage can be easily adjusted before payment with a higher deductible may lower your price. Your deductible is the amount that will be deducted from any claim payment you may receive. Think of it as your participation in the damage or loss. A good claim history can also help reduce costs.

  • How do I cancel my policy?

    You can cancel your policy at any time through the website. If you change your mind and want to come back, we’d love to see you again! Be aware that insurance prices change from time to time, so your new policy may come at a different rate than what you held.

  • How does renewal work?

    We’ll send you an email notification before your annual anniversary, in most cases, you won’t have to change a thing!

  • Can I switch to BlueCouch if I already have an active policy with someone else?

    Yes, you can! In most cases, you’ll end up saving money.

  • What does my home/renters policy cover?

    Your policy will cover the replacement of your house, any buildings on the property, the replacement of your belongings, student property away from home, additional living expenses you may incur as a result of having to leave your home in a claim, mass evacuation, identity fraud, as well as any other optional coverages you may choose.

  • What is the Vault?

    The Vault is Blue Couch’s proprietary storage platform built into our application. All of your important documents will be readily available with just a few button presses.

  • Who else has access to the vault?

    Only you, it is truly your personal vault

  • How do I submit items into the vault?

    Policies are automatically submitted into the vault upon being processed, however, if there are more documents you want or need to upload simply select ”My account -> Vault -> Upload files”.

  • Will I lose access to the vault if I cancel my policy?

    Nope. We will hold your vault available for 2 years after you've changed your provider.

  • Do I have to use the vault?

    Not at all, it’s completely up to you; however, it’s a great tool to store all different insurance documents and stay on top of important dates.

  • How do I pick the right coverage?

    We’re here for you. By providing us with a little bit of information about yourself Kylie will gather data points and suggest a policy that best fits your situation. At that point you are able to make adjustments.

  • What kind of coverage do you offer?
